Litter Busters

Group Leader: Kathleen Lindstaedt (Email: klindstaedt@comcast.net)

The purpose of the Litter Busters Group of Service is to maintain litter-free beauty of the Mud Creek Valley.  We divide the roadway into areas of surveillance along the Sargent Road corridor and cross streets of Fall Creek Parkway, 75th, 82nd, 86th, and 96th Streets.   Our volunteers are out working on an as-needed basis, at least once a month.

We provide bright yellow bags, grabber sticks, and safety vests for our Litter Busters.  In the month of April, we conduct a community "Annual Clean-Up Day" using supplies donated to us from Keep Indianapolis Beautiful.

In 2013 the Sargent Road Association was awarded the Green Glove Award by Keep Indianapolis Beautiful for the longest Adopt-A-Block in the City (3.7 miles).
