Join the Indy Department of Public Works staff on Monday, Sept. 26 at 6:00 p.m. at Epworth United Methodist Church, 6450 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, to learn about the more than $16 million in connectivity improvements coming to the north side of Indianapolis in 2023.
The Nickel Plate Trail will covert the Nickel Plate Railroad bed into an 8.6-mile long multi-Use Trail from 42nd Street and the Monon Trail, east to the existing Nickel Plate, north to 96th Street. The project includes multi-use spur connections at 62nd Street east to Eastwood Middle School and 86th Street west to Sahm Park.
A brief presentation will begin at 6 p.m. Renderings showing planned improvements along the trail length will be on display. Residents are welcome to share comments with the staff and provide written feedback on proposed plans following the presentation.
Presentation materials will be available online after the meeting. For questions or special accommodations, contact Lane.Wolf@indy.gov or 317-954-3558.
